Chemo started..

Well, Vern officially started chemo this week. He's feeling pretty tired and all the "fun" that goes with chemo but doing ok. His spirits are up so in my opinion who could ask for more at this point?

Step one: completed...
The bone marrow biopsy went the way it was supposed too... painful! I just talked to Vern and he still sounded rather "intoxicated" from the meds they gave him for sedation. He said he was in pain but looking forward to getting home and lounging for the weekend. He will start chemo on Tuesday...

We're ready.... let the fight begin...

Sorry folks, I have tried again, but George is Vern to me.. So from henceforth, it's Vern.. Sorry for the confusion but my "mommyheimers" brain can only handle so much and calling him George confuses me.. so ya'll have to be confused cause my scattered brain is barely functioning these days :-)

So, dearest Vern...
Here is a thought for the day.
Look at the picture to the right of this blog posting and think Florida. What do ya say we skip chemo, fly south, and run away! I mean the only thing chemo is gonna make you do is lose your hair! HA! you beat em to it!

Hi everyone,

I have people asking if we can do the blog again so here it is :-)
I will update anytime there is new info. You can also leave a comment here and when George is in the hospital we'll get him hooked up with Wi-Fi when we visit so he can read your comments.
